Here are what the symptoms of a failing foundation looks like:
When it comes to soil stabilization, structural leveling, or taking the slope out of your foundation or house, you owe it to yourself to investigate all your options. Just because " it's always been done this way", does not mean that's the best way to do it. Just because YOUR engineer either doesn't know this method ( or hasn't even heard of it ) doesn't mean that CALTRANS or any of the other DOTs, Dept. of Public Works, Major US airports, and the rest of our verifiable client list didn't have THEIR engineers vet this process to the Nth degree.
Common Causes of Structure Settlement
Poorly Compacted soil at the time of construction. ( referred to as " fill".)
High clay content in existing soil.
Shallow footings at the structure's foundation.
